2 Kings 13:3

And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel
They doing as their kings did:

and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into
the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, all [their] days;
the word "their" should not be supplied, since it was not true that Israel was delivered into the hands of both those kings of Syria as long as they lived; for they were delivered out of the hands of Benhadad, ( 2 Kings 13:25 ) , but the word "his" should be inserted for it as to be understood of the days of Jehoahaz, see ( 2 Kings 13:22 ) .

2 Re 13:3 In-Context

1 L’anno ventesimoterzo di Joas, figliuolo di Achazia, re di Giuda, Joachaz, figliuolo di Jehu, cominciò a regnare sopra Israele a Samaria; e regnò diciassette anni.

2 Egli fece ciò ch’è male agli occhi dell’Eterno, imitò i peccati coi quali Geroboamo, figliuolo di Nebat, aveva fatto peccare Israele, e non se ne ritrasse.

3 E l’ira dell’Eterno si accese contro gl’Israeliti, ed ei li diede nelle mani di Hazael, re di Siria, e nelle mani di Ben-Hadad, figliuolo di Hazael, per tutto quel tempo.

4 Ma Joachaz implorò l’Eterno, e l’Eterno lo esaudì, perché vide l’oppressione sotto la quale il re di Siria teneva Israele.

5 E l’Eterno diede un liberatore agl’Israeliti, i quali riuscirono a sottrarsi al potere dei Siri, in guisa che i figliuoli d’Israele poteron dimorare nelle loro tende, come per l’addietro.
