2 Kings 22:7

Howbeit, there was no reckoning made with them of the money
that was delivered into their hand
No account was kept between the high priest, and the king's scribe who delivered the money and the overseers of the workmen, who received it from them the latter were not called to any account by the former, nor any audit made of their accounts:

because they dealt faithfully:
they were persons of such known honour and integrity, that their fidelity was not in the least called in question, but were trusted without examining their accounts, and how they disposed of the money committed to them, see ( 2 Kings 12:15 ) .

5 che lo si consegni ai direttori preposti ai lavori della casa dell’Eterno; e che questi lo diano agli operai addetti alle riparazioni della casa dell’Eterno:

6 ai legnaiuoli, ai costruttori ed ai muratori, e se ne servano per comprare del legname e delle pietre da tagliare, per le riparazioni della casa.

7 Ma non si farà render conto a quelli in mano ai quali sarà rimesso il danaro, perché agiscono con fedeltà".

8 Allora il sommo sacerdote Hilkia disse a Shafan, il segretario: "Ho trovato nella casa dell’Eterno il libro della legge". E Hilkia diede il libro a Shafan, che lo lesse.

9 E Shafan, il segretario, andò a riferir la cosa al re, e gli disse: "I tuoi servi hanno versato il danaro che s’è trovato nella casa, e l’hanno consegnato a quelli che son preposti ai lavori della casa dell’Eterno".
