Mark 7:18

And he saith unto them
With some warmth of spirit and resentment, at their stupidity:

are ye so without understanding also?
As well as others, and to such a degree; and "yet", as Matthew expresses it, ( Matthew 15:16 ) , so wretchedly stupid, and so long, and as much, as others:

do ye not perceive?
common sense will tell you,

that whatsoever thing from, without entereth into the man, it cannot
defile him; (See Gill on Matthew 15:16).

17 E quando, lasciata la moltitudine, fu entrato in casa, i suoi discepoli lo interrogarono intorno alla parabola.

18 Ed egli disse loro: Siete anche voi così privi d’intendimento? Non capite voi che tutto ciò che dal di fuori entra nell’uomo non lo può contaminare,

19 perché gli entra non nel cuore ma nel ventre e se ne va nella latrina? Così dicendo, dichiarava pure puri tutti quanti i cibi.

20 Diceva inoltre: E’ quel che esce dall’uomo che contamina l’uomo;
