Romans 2:3

And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do
such things, and doest the same
Some men may be so vain as to imagine, that though they do the same things which they condemn in others, they

shall escape the judgment of God:
but such will find themselves most sadly mistaken; there is no avoiding the general judgment; all men must come to it; there will be no eluding it through craftiness and deceit, through bribery and corruption; there will be no escaping condign punishment, through might in the criminal, or through the judge's ignorance of his crimes, or want of ability and power to punish.

1 Perciò, o uomo, chiunque tu sii che giudichi, sei inescusabile; poiché nel giudicare gli altri, tu condanni te stesso; poiché tu che giudichi, fai le medesime cose.

2 Or noi sappiamo che il giudizio di Dio su quelli che fanno tali cose è conforme a verità.

3 E pensi tu, o uomo che giudichi quelli che fanno tali cose e le fai tu stesso, di scampare al giudizio di Dio?

4 Ovvero sprezzi tu le ricchezze della sua benignità, della sua pazienza e della sua longanimità, non riconoscendo che la benignità di Dio ti trae a ravvedimento?

5 Tu invece, seguendo la tua durezza e il tuo cuore impenitente, t’accumuli un tesoro d’ira, per il giorno dell’ira e della rivelazione del giusto giudizio di Dio,
