15 En el a帽o veintisiete de Asa rey de Jud谩, comenz贸 谩 reinar Zimri, y rein贸 siete d铆as en Thirsa; y el pueblo hab铆a asentado campo sobre Gibbeth贸n, ciudad de los Filisteos.
16 Y el pueblo que estaba en el campo oy贸 decir: Zimri ha hecho conjuraci贸n, y ha muerto al rey. Entonces todo Israel levant贸 el mismo d铆a por rey sobre Israel 谩 Omri, general del ej茅rcito, en el campo.
17 Y subi贸 Omri de Gibbeth贸n, y con 茅l todo Israel, y cercaron 谩 Thirsa.
18 Mas viendo Zimri tomada la ciudad, meti贸se en el palacio de la casa real, y peg贸 fuego 谩 la casa consigo: as铆 muri贸.
19 Por sus pecados que 茅l hab铆a cometido, haciendo lo malo 谩 los ojos de Jehov谩, y andando en los caminos de Jeroboam, y en su pecado que cometi贸, haciendo pecar 谩 Israel.
20 Los dem谩s hechos de Zimri, y su conspiraci贸n que form贸, 驴no est谩 todo escrito en el libro de las cr贸nicas de los reyes de Israel?

1 Reyes 16:15-20 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO 1 KINGS 16

This chapter contains a prophecy of the ruin of the family of Baasha, and an account of his death, 1Ki 16:1-7, and of his son's reigning in his stead two years, who was slain by Zimri one of his captains, 1Ki 16:8-14, and who reigned but seven days, 1Ki 16:15-20, and the people being divided between Tibni and Omri, the party for the latter prevailed, and he was made king, and reigned twelve years, 1Ki 16:21-28, and was succeeded by his son Ahab, a very wicked prince, 1Ki 16:29-33, and the chapter is concluded with the rebuilding of Jericho, 1Ki 16:34.
