He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain
Himself and the dead child; that nobody might come in and interrupt him in his prayers for the restoration of it to life, nor see the motions and gestures he used, and the postures he put himself in:

and prayed unto the Lord;
that he would restore the child to life.

31 El entonces se levantó, y la siguió. Y Giezi había ido delante de ellos, y había puesto el bordón sobre el rostro del niño, mas ni tenía voz ni sentido; y así se había vuelto para encontrar a Eliseo; y se lo declaró, diciendo: El niño no despierta.

32 Y venido Eliseo a la casa, he aquí el niño que estaba tendido muerto sobre su cama.

33 Entrando él entonces , cerró la puerta sobre ambos, y oró al SEÑOR.

34 Después subió, y se tendió sobre el niño, poniendo su boca sobre la boca de él, y sus ojos sobre los ojos de él, y sus manos sobre las manos de él; así se midió sobre él, y la carne del niño se calentó.

35 Volviéndose luego , se paseó por la casa a una parte y a otra, y después subió, y volvió a medirse sobre él; y el niño estornudó siete veces, y abrió sus ojos.
