29 Cocimos, pues , mi hijo, y le comimos. El día siguiente yo le dije: Da acá tu hijo, y comámoslo. Mas ella ha escondido su hijo.

2 Kings 6:29

So we boiled my son, and did eat him
Thus what was predicted, by way of threatening, began to be accomplished, ( Deuteronomy 28:53 ) , (See Gill on Deuteronomy 28:53), and of which there were other instances of a like kind at the siege of Jerusalem, both by Nebuchadnezzar and Vespasian:

and I said unto her on the next day;
after her child had been wholly ate up:

give thy son, that we may eat him;
according to agreement:

and she hath hid her son;
either to save him alive, or to eat him herself alone.

27 Y él dijo: Si no te salva el SEÑOR, ¿de dónde te tengo de salvar yo? ¿Del alfolí, o del lagar?

28 Y le dijo el rey: ¿Qué tienes? Y ella respondió: Esta mujer me dijo: Da acá tu hijo, y comámoslo hoy, y mañana comeremos el mío.

29 Cocimos, pues , mi hijo, y le comimos. El día siguiente yo le dije: Da acá tu hijo, y comámoslo. Mas ella ha escondido su hijo.

30 Y cuando el rey oyó las palabras de aquella mujer, rasgó sus vestidos, y pasó así por el muro; y el pueblo vio el cilicio que traía interiormente sobre su carne.

31 Y él dijo: Así me haga Dios, y así me añada, si la cabeza de Eliseo hijo de Safat quedare sobre él hoy.
