Mark 15:44

And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead
For death, by crucifixion, was a slow lingering death; persons that were in their full strength hung a great while before they expired; and the two thieves, which were crucified with Christ, were not dead when he was:

and calling unto him the centurion;
who was set to watch him:

he asked him, whether he had been any while dead;
he inquired of him, whether he was dead, and how long he had been dead.

42 Y cuando fue la tarde, porque era la preparaci贸n, es decir, la v铆spera del s谩bado,
43 Jos茅 de Arimatea, senador noble, que tambi茅n esperaba el Reino de Dios, vino, y osadamente entr贸 a Pilato, y pidi贸 el cuerpo de Jes煤s.
44 Y Pilato se maravill贸 que ya fuese muerto; y haciendo venir al centuri贸n, le pregunt贸 si era ya muerto.
45 Y enterado del centuri贸n, dio el cuerpo a Jos茅.
46 El cual compr贸 una s谩bana, y quit谩ndole, le envolvi贸 en la s谩bana, y le puso en un sepulcro que estaba cavado en una pe帽a, y revolvi贸 la piedra a la puerta del sepulcro.
