Bible Verses about Giving

What does scripture say about giving? - Bible Quotes About Giving

The Bible encourages us to be generous with others as we are able and willing within our possessions and hearts. "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7) As we are called to love one another, we should help others in need as we are able to assist them, whether by physical offerings or spiritual prayer requests. It is wise to remember, as Jesus taught, that it is "more blessed to give than receive."

"Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)

"The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully." (2 Corinthians 9:6)
