Acts 13:30

But God raised him from the dead.
] Though his life was taken away by man, and it was a clear case that he was certainly dead, and he was taken down from the cross as such, and buried; yet he could not be held with the cords of death, but God the Father raised him from the dead by his power. The Vulgate Latin version adds, "the third day".

28 Without having found Him guilty of any capital offence they urged Pilate to have Him put to death;
29 and when they had carried out everything which had been written about Him, they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a tomb.
