1 John 3:11-15

Listen to 1 John 3:11-15
11 1For this is the message 2which you have heard from the beginning, 3that we should love one another;
12 not as 4Cain, who was of 5the evil one and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because 6his deeds were evil, and his brother's were righteous.
13 Do not be surprised, brethren, if 7the world hates you.
14 We know that we have 8passed out of death into life, 9because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.
15 Everyone who 10hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that 11no * murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

Love, Don't Hate Part 1
Love, Don't Hate Part 1
Jeff Johnson

Would you best be described as a loving person, or full of hate?  Pastor Jeff Johnson says how you answer that says a lot about your spiritual condition.  Today on Sound Doctrine we’ll learn why the Christian is to follow God’s lead by loving other people.  We’ll contrast that with murder and hatred, something that was clearly apparent in the life of Cain.  So turn with us to First John chapter three as we’re exhorted to love and not hate!
