Luke 12:1-12

Is life pretty hectic for you these days?  Responsibilities and commitments only seem to grow with time for all too many. And sometimes we can lose sight of why we’re here as Christians - to be representatives and messengers of God! Today on A Daily Walk - Pastor John brings us much needed encouragement in this area with some very practical suggestions for sharing Christ with others. And if you’re like many, you have some fears that hinder you from sharing your faith.  Pastor John will help us overcome them. 

Join us in Luke chapter twelve.  Jesus is about to warn His disciples, and us, about the dangers of hypocrisy.  He’ll not only address the subtlety of it, but the secrecy of it and the accountability!   There’s no fooling God, as He sees the motives of our hearts.  

When all else fails, our friendship with the Lord is unlike any other we have ever known. He even knows the hairs on our head and numbers them. The God of all creation desires our presence. A kind of relationship that gives us both grace and mercy in our time of need.

When all else fails, Jesus wants to be our friend that sticks closer than a brother. An intimacy that is hard to comprehend. Jesus knows everything about us, and yet, He still wants to forgive us when we sin, and save us from eternal sorrow and death.

When all else fails, we can rejoice in the fact that God is all powerful, including the power to save. God also gives us the Holy Spirit as our Helper, always ready to give us a defense for the hope that lies within us.

When all else fails, we need to rest in our God. And, when we come clean by taking off our masks, and face who we really are, God is there in our pain, and ready to forgive.
