Yǐsījiēshū 38

1 Yēhéhuá de huà líndào wǒ shuō ,

2 Rénzǐ a , nǐ yào miàn xiàng Mǎgè dì de gē gé , jiù Shìluó shī , Mǐshè , Tǔbā de wáng fā yùyán gōngjī tā ,

3 Shuō zhǔ Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , luó shī , Mǐshè , Tǔbā de wáng gē gé a, wǒ yǔ nǐ wèi dí .

4 Wǒ bì yòng gōuzǐ gōu zhù nǐde sāi jiá , tiaó zhuǎn nǐ , jiāng nǐ hé nǐde jūn bīng , mǎ pǐ , mǎ bīng daì chūlai , dōu pīguà zhĕngqí , chéng le dà duì , yǒu dà xiǎo dùnpái , gè ná dāo jiàn .

5 Bōsī rén , Gǔshí rén , hé Fú rén ( yòu zuò lì bǐ yà rén ) , gè ná dùnpái , tóu shang daì kuī .

6 Gēmiè rén hé tāde jūnduì , bĕi fāng jí chù de Tuójiāmǎ zú hé tāde jūnduì , zhè xǔduō guó de mín dōu tóng zhe nǐ .

7 Nà jùjí dào nǐ zhèlǐ de gè duì dōu dāng zhúnbeì . nǐ zìjǐ yĕ yào zhúnbeì , zuò tāmende dà shuaì .

8 Guō le duō rì , nǐ bì beì chāi paì . dào mòhòu zhī nián , nǐ bì lái dào tuōlí dāo jiàn cóng liè guó shōu huí zhī dì , dào Yǐsèliè cháng jiǔ huāngliáng de shān shang . dàn nà cóng liè guó zhōng zhāo jù chūlai de bì zaì qí shang ānrán jūzhù .

9 Nǐ hé nǐde jūnduì , bìng tóng zhe nǐ xǔduō guó de mín , bì rú bàofēng shang lái , rú mì yún zhēgaì dì miàn .

10 Zhǔ Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , dào nàshí , nǐ xīn bì qǐ yìniàn , tú móu è jì ,

11 Shuō , wǒ yào shang nà wú chéngqiáng de xiāngcūn , wǒ yào dào nà ānjìng de mín nàli , tāmen dōu méiyǒu chéngqiáng , wú mén , wú shuān , ānrán jūzhù .

12 Wǒ qù yào qiǎng cái wéi lǔ wù , duó huò wèi lüè wù , fǎn shǒu gōngjī nà cóng qián huāngliáng , xiànzaì yǒu rén jūzhù zhī dì , yòu gōngjī nà zhù shìjiè zhōngjiān , cóng liè guó zhāo jù , dé le shēngchù cái huò de mín .

13 Shìbā rén , Dǐdàn rén , Tāshī de kè shāng , hé qí jiān de shào zhuàng shīzi dōu bì wèn nǐ shuō , nǐ lái yào qiǎng cái wèi lǔ wù ma . nǐ jùjí jūnduì yào duó huò wéi lüè wù ma ? yào duó qǔ jīn yín , lǔ qù shēngchù , cái huò ma . yào qiǎngduó xǔduō cáibǎo wéi lǔ wù ma ?

14 Rénzǐ a , nǐ yào yīncǐ fā yùyán , duì gē gé shuō , zhǔ Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , dào wǒ mín Yǐsèliè ānrán jūzhù zhī rì , nǐ qǐbù zhīdào ma .

15 Nǐ bì cóng bĕn dì , cóng bĕi fāng de jí chù shuaìlǐng xǔduō guó de mín lái , dōu qí zhe mǎ , nǎi yī dà duì jí duō de jūn bīng .

16 Gē gé a , nǐ bì shang lái gōngjī wǒde mín Yǐsèliè , rú mì yún zhēgaì dì miàn . mòhòu de rìzi , wǒ bì daì nǐ lái gōngjī wǒde dì , dào wǒ zaì waìbāngrén yǎnqián , zaì nǐ shēnshang xiǎn wèi shèng de shíhou , hǎo jiào tāmen rènshi wǒ .

17 Zhǔ Yēhéhuá rúcǐ shuō , wǒ zaì gǔ shí jiè wǒde púrén Yǐsèliè de xiānzhī suǒ shuō de , jiù shì nǐ ma . dāng rì tāmen duō nián yùyán wǒ bì daì nǐ lái gōngjī Yǐsèliè rén .

18 Zhǔ Yēhéhuá shuō , gē gé shang lái gōngjī Yǐsèliè dì de shíhou , wǒde nùqì yào cóng bíkǒng lǐ fāchū .

19 Wǒ fā fènhèn hé liè nù rú huǒ shuō , nà rì zaì Yǐsèliè dì bì yǒu dà zhèndòng ,

20 Shènzhì hǎi zhōng de yú , tiānkōng de niǎo , tiānyĕ de shòu , bìng dì shang de yīqiè kūnchóng , hé qí shang de zhòngrén , yīn jiàn wǒde miàn jiù dōu zhèndòng . shānlǐng bì bēngliè , dǒu yán bì tā xiàn , qiáng yuán dōu bì tān dǎo .

21 Zhǔ Yēhéhuá shuō , wǒ bì méng wǒde zhū shān fā dāo jiàn lái gōngjī gē gé . rén dōu yào yòng dāo jiàn shāhaì dìxiōng .

22 Wǒ bì yòng wēnyì hé liúxuè de shì xíngfá tā . wǒ yĕ bìjiāng bào yǔ , dà baó yǔ huǒ , bìng liúhuáng jiàng yǔ tā hé tāde jūnduì , bìng tā suǒ shuaìlǐng de zhòng mín .

23 Wǒ bì xiǎn wéi dà , xiǎn wéi shèng , zaì duō guó rén de yǎnqián xiǎnxiàn . tāmen jiù zhīdào wǒ shì Yēhéhuá .

Chapter 38

The army and malice of Gog. (1-13) God's judgments. (14-23)

Verses 1-13 These events will be in the latter days. It is supposed these enemies will come together to invade the land of Judea, and God will defeat them. God not only sees who are now the enemies of his church, but he foresees who will be so, and lets them know by his word that he is against them; though they join together, the wicked shall not be unpunished.

Verses 14-23 The enemy should make a formidable descent upon the land of Israel. When Israel dwell safely under the Divine protection, shalt not thou be made to know it by finding that endeavours to destroy them are made in vain? Promises of security are treasured up in the word of God, against the troubles and dangers the church may be brought into in the latter days. In the destruction of sinners, God makes it appear that he is a great and holy God. We should desire and pray daily. Father, glorify thine own name.

Chapter Summary

INTRODUCTION TO EZEKIEL 38

This chapter gives an account of an enemy of the Jews, under the name of Gog, that shall invade their land, and disturb their peace, after they are settled in it; who is described by the countries over which he rules; and against whom the prophet is bid to set his face, and prophesy of him, the Lord being against him; and who would cause him to return from Judea unsuccessful, Eze 38:1-4, the number of his confederates, their warlike accoutrements and preparations for the invasion of the land of Israel, are foretold, Eze 38:4-9, his wicked designs and intentions to spoil and plunder the inhabitants of it, Eze 38:10-12, the notice taken of his projects by the merchants of Tarshish and others, Eze 38:13,14, his coming up to invade the land is again observed for the certainty of it; and the place from whence, and the time when he should come, are mentioned, as well as God's design in it, and which had been before predicted by his prophets, Eze 38:14-17, and the chapter is concluded with a denunciation of divine wrath, which shall be terrible to all the inhabitants of the earth, and to all creatures in heaven, earth, and sea; when he and his forces shall be destroyed by the sword, by pestilence, and by dreadful storms and tempests, Eze 38:18-23, of which destruction a fuller account is given in the next chapter.
