23 And whereas they said, Leave the stumps of the roots of the tree; thy kingdom abides to thee from the time that thou shalt know the power of the heavens.

23 »”Luego usted vio a un mensajero, un santo que descendía del cielo y decía: ‘Talen el árbol y destrúyanlo, pero dejen en la tierra el tocón con las raíces, sujeto con una faja de hierro y bronce, y rodeado por la hierba tierna. Que lo moje el rocío del cielo. Que viva con los animales del campo durante siete períodos de tiempo’.

23 »Su Majestad veía que del cielo bajaba un mensajero santo, el cual le ordenaba derribar el árbol y destruirlo, y dejarlo enterrado para que se empapara con el rocío del cielo, aunque tenía que sujetar con hierro y bronce el tocón y las raíces. De este modo viviría como los animales salvajes hasta que transcurrieran siete años.

23 “E tu, ó rei, viste também uma sentinela, o anjo que descia do céu e dizia: ‘Derrubem a árvore e destruam-na, mas deixem o toco e as suas raízes, presos com ferro e bronze; fique ele no chão, em meio à relva do campo.
