Therefore seeingwehavethisministry,as we have received mercy , we faintnot;2But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty,anotwalkingincraftiness,norhandling the word of Goddeceitfully ; but by manifestation of the truthcommendingourselvestoeveryman'sconscience in the sight of God.3Butifourgospelbehid , it ishidto them that are lost :
4Inwhom the god of thisworld hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,lestthelight of the gloriousgospel of Christ,whois the image of God, should shine unto them.5For we preachnotourselves,butChristJesus the Lord;andourselvesyourservantsforJesus'sake.6ForGod,whocommanded the light to shine out ofdarkness , hath shinedinourhearts,to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of Godin the face of JesusChrist.7But we havethistreasureinearthenvessels,that the excellency of the power may be of God,andnotofus.8
We are troubledon every side,yetnotdistressed ; we are perplexed , butnot in despair ;b9Persecuted , butnotforsaken ; cast down , butnotdestroyed ;

For wewhichlivearealwaydelivereduntodeathforJesus'sake,that the lifealso of Jesus might be made manifestinourmortalflesh.12Sothendeathworkethinus,butlifeinyou.13Wehaving the samespirit of faith, according as it is written , I believed , and therefore have I spoken ; wealsobelieve , andthereforespeak ;
14Knowingthat he which raised up the LordJesus shall raise upusalsobyJesus,and shall present us withyou.15For all things are foryoursakes,that the abundantgracemightthrough the thanksgiving of manyredoundto the glory of God.16
For which cause we faintnot;butthoughouroutwardmanperish , yet the inward man is reneweddaybyday.17Forourlightaffliction,which is but for a moment,worketh for us a farmoreexceedingandeternalweight of glory;18Whilewelooknotat the things which are seen , but at the things which arenotseen : for the things which are seen are temporal;but the things which arenotseen are eternal.
