Psalm 112:5-10

Listen to Psalm 112:5-10
5 It is well with the man who 1is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.
6 For he will 2never * be shaken; The 3righteous will be remembered forever.
7 He will not fear 4evil tidings; His 5heart is steadfast, 6trusting in the LORD.
8 His 7heart is upheld, he 8will not fear, Until he 9looks with satisfaction on his adversaries.
9 He 10has given freely to the poor, His righteousness endures forever; His 11horn will be exalted in honor.
10 The 12wicked will see it and be vexed, He will 13gnash his teeth and 14melt away; The 15desire of the wicked will perish.

Psalm 112:5-10 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO PSALM 112

This psalm, also, very probably, was written by David, and is composed as the former, in an alphabetical order. The inscription of it in the Syriac version is,

``When David in it commanded Solomon his son, saying, Keep the commandments of, the Lord, and worship him: likewise the calling of the Gentiles and the righteousness of Christ.''

The subject matter of the psalm are the character, conduct, usefulness, and happiness of a good man.
