1Now we who are strongought to bear the weaknesses of 1thosewithoutstrength and not just pleaseourselves.
2Each of us is to 2please his neighborafor his good, to his 3edification.
For even4Christ did not pleaseHimself; but as it is written, "5THE REPROACHES OF THOSE WHO REPROACHED YOU FELL ON ME."
For 6whatever was written in earliertimes was written for our instruction, so that throughperseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might havehope.
5Now may the 7Godbwho givesperseverance and encouragementgrant you 8to be of the samemind with oneanotheraccording to ChristJesus,
6so that with oneaccord you may with onecvoiceglorify9the God and Father of our LordJesusChrist.
7Therefore, 10acceptoneanother, just as Christalsoaccepteddus to the glory of God.
For I say that Christ has become a servant to 11the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm12the promises given to the fathers,
and for 13the Gentiles to 14glorifyGod for His mercy; as it is written, "15THEREFORE I WILL eGIVEPRAISE TO YOU AMONG THE GENTILES, AND I WILL SING TO YOUR NAME."
10Again he says, "16REJOICE, O GENTILES, WITH HIS PEOPLE."
And again, "17PRAISE THE LORDALL YOU GENTILES, AND LET ALL THE PEOPLESPRAISE HIM."
12AgainIsaiahsays, "18THERE SHALL COME19THE ROOT OF JESSE, AND HE WHO ARISES TO RULE OVER THE GENTILES, 20IN HIM SHALL THE GENTILESHOPE."
13Now may the God of hopefill you with all21joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope22by the power of the HolySpirit.
And concerning you, my brethren, I myselfalso am convinced that you yourselves are full of 23goodness, filled with 24allknowledge and ablealso to admonishoneanother.
But I have writtenveryboldly to you on somepointsso as to remind you again, because of 25the grace that was given me ffrom God,
to be 26a minister of ChristJesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the 27gospel of God, so that my 28offering of the Gentiles may becomeacceptable, sanctified by the HolySpirit.
17Therefore in ChristJesus I have found 29reason for boasting in 30things pertaining to God.
For I will not presume to speak of anythinggexceptwhat31Christ has accomplishedthrough me, hresulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,
in the power of i32signs and wonders, 33in the power of the Spirit; so that 34from Jerusalem and roundabout as 35far as Illyricum I have jfullypreached the gospel of Christ.
And thus I aspired to 36preach the gospel, not whereChrist was already named, 37so that I would not build on anotherman'sfoundation;
but as it is written, "38THEY WHOHADNONEWS OF HIM SHALL SEE, AND THEY WHO HAVE NOT HEARD SHALL UNDERSTAND."
For thisreason39I have often been prevented from coming to you;
but now, with nofurtherplace for me in theseregions, and since I 40have had for manyyears a longing to come to you
24whenever I 41go to Spain -for I hope to see you in passing, and to be 42helped on my waythere by you, when I have first43enjoyed your company kfor a while -
but now, 44I am going to Jerusalem45serving the lsaints.
For 46Macedonia and 47Achaia have beenpleased to make a contribution for the poor among the msaints in Jerusalem.
27Yes, they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. For 48if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritualthings, they are indebted to minister to them also in materialthings.
28Therefore, when I have finishedthis, and 49have nput my seal on thisfruit of theirs, I will 50go on by way of you to Spain.
I know that when 51I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
30Now I urge you, brethren, by our LordJesusChrist and by 52the love of the Spirit, to 53strivetogether with me in your prayers to God for me,
that I may be 54rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my 55service for Jerusalem may proveacceptable to the o56saints;
32so that 57I may come to you in joy by 58the will of God and find refreshing rest in your company.
33Now59the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
