1 Then Moshe and the children of Yisra'el sang this song to the LORD, and said, "I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously: The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea. 1 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD: "I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea.
2 The LORD is my strength and song, He has become my yeshu`ah: This is my God, and I will praise him; My father's God, and I will exalt him. 2 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him.
3 The LORD is a man of war. The LORD is his name. 3 The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.
4 Par`oh's chariots and his host has he cast into the sea; His chosen captains are sunk in the Sea of Suf. 4 Pharaoh's chariots and his army he has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh's officers are drowned in the Red Sea.
5 The deeps cover them. They went down into the depths like a stone. 5 The deep waters have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.
6 Your right hand, LORD, is glorious in power, Your right hand, LORD, dashes the enemy in pieces. 6 "Your right hand, O LORD, was majestic in power. Your right hand, O LORD, shattered the enemy.
7 In the greatness of your excellency, you overthrow those who rise up against you: You send forth your wrath. It consumes them as stubble. 7 In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble.
8 With the blast of your nostrils the waters were piled up. The floods stood upright as a heap. The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea. 8 By the blast of your nostrils the waters piled up. The surging waters stood firm like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.
9 The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil. My desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.' 9 "The enemy boasted, 'I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.'
10 You blew with your wind. The sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. 10 But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
11 Who is like you, LORD, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? 11 "Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you--majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?

13 "You, in your lovingkindness, have led the people that you have redeemed. You have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation. 13 "In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.
14 The peoples have heard. They tremble. Pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Peleshet. 14 The nations will hear and tremble; anguish will grip the people of Philistia.
15 Then the chiefs of Edom were dismayed. Trembling takes hold of the mighty men of Mo'av. All the inhabitants of Kana`an are melted away. 15 The chiefs of Edom will be terrified, the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling, the people of Canaan will melt away;
16 Terror and dread falls on them. By the greatness of your arm they are as still as a stone; Until your people pass over, LORD, Until the people pass over who you have purchased. 16 terror and dread will fall upon them. By the power of your arm they will be as still as a stone-- until your people pass by, O LORD, until the people you bought pass by.
17 You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, The place, LORD, which you have made for yourself to dwell in; The sanctuary, Lord, which your hands have established. 17 You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance-- the place, O LORD, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, O Lord, your hands established.
18 The LORD shall reign forever and ever." 18 The LORD will reign for ever and ever."
19 For the horses of Par`oh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea on them; but the children of Yisra'el walked on dry land in the midst of the sea. 19 When Pharaoh's horses, chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.
20 Miryam the prophetess, the sister of Aharon, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. 20 Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her, with tambourines and dancing.
21 Miryam answered them, "Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously: The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea." 21 Miriam sang to them: "Sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea."
22 Moshe led Yisra'el onward from the Sea of Suf, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. 22 Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.
23 When they came to Marah, they couldn't drink from the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.)
24 The people murmured against Moshe, saying, "What shall we drink?" 24 So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?"
25 Then he cried to the LORD. The LORD shown him a tree, and he threw it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there he tested them; 25 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them.
26 and he said, "If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his mitzvot, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Mitzrim; for I am the LORD who heals you." 26 He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."
27 They came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters. 27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.
