Young's Literal Translation (YLT) New International Version (NIV)
Brethren, if a man also may be overtaken in any trespass, ye who [are] spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself -- lest thou also may be tempted; 1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.
of one another the burdens bear ye, and so fill up the law of the Christ, 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
for if any one doth think [himself] to be something -- being nothing -- himself he doth deceive; 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
and his own work let each one prove, and then in regard to himself alone the glorying he shall have, and not in regard to the other, 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else,
for each one his own burden shall bear. 5 for each one should carry his own load.
And let him who is instructed in the word share with him who is instructing -- in all good things. 6 Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.
Be not led astray; God is not mocked; for what a man may sow -- that also he shall reap, 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh shall reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit shall reap life age-during; 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
and in the doing good we may not be faint-hearted, for at the proper time we shall reap -- not desponding; 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
therefore, then, as we have opportunity, may we work the good to all, and especially unto those of the household of the faith. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Ye see in how large letters I have written to you with my own hand; 11 See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!
as many as are willing to make a good appearance in the flesh, these constrain you to be circumcised -- only that for the cross of the Christ they may not be persecuted, 12 Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.
for neither do those circumcised themselves keep the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, that in your flesh they may glory. 13 Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh.
And for me, let it not be -- to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which to me the world hath been crucified, and I to the world; 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation; 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.
and as many as by this rule do walk -- peace upon them, and kindness, and on the Israel of God! 16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God.
Henceforth, let no one give me trouble, for I the scars of the Lord Jesus in my body do bear. 17 Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [is] with your spirit, brethren! Amen. 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
