The Webster Bible (WBT) New International Version (NIV)
A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment: to thee, O LORD, will I sing. 1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise.
I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart.
I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 3 I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me.
A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked [person]. 4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.
Whoever privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I cut off: him that hath a high look and a proud heart I will not suffer. 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.
My eyes [shall be] upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. 6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me.
He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. 7 No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.
I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all who practice wickedness from the city of the LORD. 8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
