My whole being, praise the Lord; all my being, praise his holy name. 1 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
My whole being, praise the Lord and do not forget all his kindnesses. 2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--
He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. 3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,
He saves my life from the grave and loads me with love and mercy. 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,
He satisfies me with good things and makes me young again, like the eagle. 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
The Lord does what is right and fair for all who are wronged by others. 6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.
He showed his ways to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel. 7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
The Lord shows mercy and is kind. He does not become angry quickly, and he has great love. 8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse us, and he will not be angry forever. 9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;
He has not punished us as our sins should be punished; he has not repaid us for the evil we have done. 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
As high as the sky is above the earth, so great is his love for those who respect him. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
He has taken our sins away from us as far as the east is from west. 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
The Lord has mercy on those who respect him, as a father has mercy on his children. 13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
He knows how we were made; he remembers that we are dust. 14 for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.
Human life is like grass; we grow like a flower in the field. 15 As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field;
After the wind blows, the flower is gone, and there is no sign of where it was. 16 the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.
But the Lord's love for those who respect him continues forever and ever, and his goodness continues to their grandchildren 17 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--
and to those who keep his agreement and who remember to obey his orders. 18 with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
The Lord has set his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over everything. 19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.
You who are his angels, praise the Lord. You are the mighty warriors who do what he says and who obey his voice. 20 Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
You, his armies, praise the Lord; you are his servants who do what he wants. 21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.
Everything the Lord has made should praise him in all the places he rules. My whole being, praise the Lord. 22 Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
