Psalm 108 ASV/NIV - Online Parallel Bible

American Standard Version (ASV) New International Version (NIV)
My heart is fixed, O God; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises, even with my glory. 1 My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake right early. 2 Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.
I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah, among the peoples; And I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. 3 I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.
For thy lovingkindness is great above the heavens; And thy truth [reacheth] unto the skies. 4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, And thy glory above all the earth. 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth.
That thy beloved may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer us. 6 Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.
God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. 7 God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Succoth.
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of my head; Judah is my sceptre. 8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter.
Moab is my washpot; Upon Edom will I cast my shoe; Over Philistia will I shout. 9 Moab is my washbasin, upon Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph."
Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who hath led me unto Edom? 10 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
Hast not thou cast us off, O God? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts. 11 Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
Give us help against the adversary; For vain is the help of man. 12 Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless.
Through God we shall do valiantly: For he it is that will tread down our adversaries. 13 With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
