(134-3) Praise ye the Lord, for the Lord is good: sing ye to his name, for it is sweet. 3 Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant.
(134-4) For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself: Israel for his own possession. 4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession.
(134-5) For I have known that the Lord is great, and our God is above all gods. 5 I know that the LORD is great, that our Lord is greater than all gods.
(134-6) Whatsoever the Lord pleased he hath done, in heaven, in earth, in the sea, and in all the deeps. 6 The LORD does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths.
(134-7) He bringeth up clouds from the end of the earth: he hath made lightnings for the rain. He bringeth forth winds out of his stores: 7 He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; he sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.
(134-8) He slew the firstborn of Egypt from man even unto beast. 8 He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, the firstborn of men and animals.
(134-9) He sent forth signs and wonders in the midst of thee, O Egypt: upon Pharao, and upon all his servants. 9 He sent his signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.
(134-10) He smote many nations, and slew mighty kings: 10 He struck down many nations and killed mighty kings--
(134-11) Sehon king of the Amorrhites, and Og king of Basan, and all the kingdoms of Chanaan. 11 Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan and all the kings of Canaan--
(134-12) And gave their land for an inheritance, for an inheritance to his people Israel. 12 and he gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his people Israel.
(134-13) Thy name, O Lord, is for ever: thy memorial, O Lord, unto all generations. 13 Your name, O LORD, endures forever, your renown, O LORD, through all generations.
(134-14) For the Lord will judge his people, and will be entreated in favour of his servants. 14 For the LORD will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.
(134-15) The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, the works of men’s hands. 15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.
(134-16) They have a mouth, but they speak not: they have eyes, but they see not. 16 They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see;
(134-17) They have ears, but they hear not: neither is there any breath in their mouths. 17 they have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths.
(134-18) Let them that make them be like to them: and every one that trusteth in them. 18 Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.
(134-19) Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: bless the Lord, O house of Aaron. 19 O house of Israel, praise the LORD; O house of Aaron, praise the LORD;
