| Good News Translation (GNT) | New International Version (NIV) |
| 1 I will proclaim your greatness, my God and king; I will thank you forever and ever. | 1 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. |
| 2 Every day I will thank you; I will praise you forever and ever. | 2 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. |
| 3 The Lord is great and is to be highly praised; his greatness is beyond understanding. | 3 Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. |
| 4 What you have done will be praised from one generation to the next; they will proclaim your mighty acts. | 4 One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. |
| 5 They will speak of your glory and majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds. | 5 They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. |
| 6 People will speak of your mighty deeds, and I will proclaim your greatness. | 6 They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds. |
| 7 They will tell about all your goodness and sing about your kindness. | 7 They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. |
| 8 The Lord is loving and merciful, slow to become angry and full of constant love. | 8 The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. |
| 9 He is good to everyone and has compassion on all he made. | 9 The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. |
| 10 All your creatures, Lord, will praise you, and all your people will give you thanks. | 10 All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you. |
| 11 They will speak of the glory of your royal power and tell of your might, | 11 They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, |
| 12 so that everyone will know your mighty deeds and the glorious majesty of your kingdom. | 12 so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. |
| 13 Your rule is eternal, and you are king forever. The Lord is faithful to his promises; he is merciful in all his acts. | 13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. |
| 14 He helps those who are in trouble; he lifts those who have fallen. | 14 The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. |
| 15 All living things look hopefully to you, and you give them food when they need it. | 15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. |
| 16 You give them enough and satisfy the needs of all. | 16 You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. |
| 17 The Lord is righteous in all he does, merciful in all his acts. | 17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. |
| 18 He is near to those who call to him, who call to him with sincerity. | 18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. |
| 19 He supplies the needs of those who honor him; he hears their cries and saves them. | 19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. |
| 20 He protects everyone who loves him, but he will destroy the wicked. | 20 The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. |
| 21 I will always praise the Lord; let all his creatures praise his holy name forever. | 21 My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever. |
