Psalm 36:1-4

NRS

NIV

1 Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in their hearts; there is no fear of God before their eyes.
1 I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked:There is no fear of God before their eyes.
2 For they flatter themselves in their own eyes that their iniquity cannot be found out and hated.
2 In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.
3 The words of their mouths are mischief and deceit; they have ceased to act wisely and do good.
3 The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good.
4 They plot mischief while on their beds; they are set on a way that is not good; they do not reject evil.
4 Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong.
