Hebrew Names Version (HNV) New International Version (NIV)
<> Blessed is he who considers the poor: The LORD will deliver him in the day of evil. 1 Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble.
The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive, He shall be blessed on the eretz, And he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies. 2 The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.
The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed, And restore him from his bed of illness. 3 The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness.
I said, "LORD, have mercy on me. Heal me, for I have sinned against you." 4 I said, "O LORD, have mercy on me; heal me, for I have sinned against you."
My enemies speak evil against me: "When will he die, and his name perish?" 5 My enemies say of me in malice, "When will he die and his name perish?"
If he come to see me, he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it. 6 Whenever one comes to see me, he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander; then he goes out and spreads it abroad.
All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me. 7 All my enemies whisper together against me; they imagine the worst for me, saying,
"An evil disease," they say, "has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more." 8 "A vile disease has beset him; he will never get up from the place where he lies."
Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, Who ate bread with me, Has lifted up his heel against me. 9 Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
But you, LORD, have mercy on me, and raise me up, That I may repay them. 10 But you, O LORD, have mercy on me; raise me up, that I may repay them.
By this I know that you delight in me, Because my enemy doesn't triumph over me. 11 I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, And set me in your presence forever. 12 In my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, From everlasting and to everlasting! Amein and amein. 13 Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
