O God, You have rejected us. You have broken us; You have been angry; O, restore us. 1 You have rejected us, O God, and burst forth upon us; you have been angry--now restore us!
You have made the land quake, You have split it open; Heal its breaches, for it totters. 2 You have shaken the land and torn it open; mend its fractures, for it is quaking.
You have made Your people experience hardship; You have given us wine to drink that makes us stagger. 3 You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger.
You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah. 4 But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow. "Selah"
That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and answer us! 5 Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.
God has spoken in His holiness: "I will exult, I will portion out Shechem and measure out the valley of Succoth. 6 God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Succoth.
"Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet of My head; Judah is My scepter. 7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter.
"Moab is My washbowl; Over Edom I shall throw My shoe; Shout loud, O Philistia, because of Me!" 8 Moab is my washbasin, upon Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph."
Who will bring me into the besieged city? Who will lead me to Edom? 9 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
Have not You Yourself, O God, rejected us? And will You not go forth with our armies, O God? 10 Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
O give us help against the adversary, For deliverance by man is in vain. 11 Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless.
Through God we shall do valiantly, And it is He who will tread down our adversaries. 12 With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
