Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son! 1 Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness.
May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice! 2 He will judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.
Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness! 3 The mountains will bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness.
May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor! 4 He will defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; he will crush the oppressor.
May they fear you while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations! 5 He will endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations.
May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth! 6 He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.
In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more! 7 In his days the righteous will flourish; prosperity will abound till the moon is no more.
May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth! 8 He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust! 9 The desert tribes will bow before him and his enemies will lick the dust.
May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts! 10 The kings of Tarshish and of distant shores will bring tribute to him; the kings of Sheba and Seba will present him gifts.
May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him! 11 All kings will bow down to him and all nations will serve him.
For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper. 12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help.
He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy. 13 He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.
From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight. 14 He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.
Long may he live; may gold of Sheba be given to him! May prayer be made for him continually, and blessings invoked for him all the day! 15 Long may he live! May gold from Sheba be given him. May people ever pray for him and bless him all day long.
May there be abundance of grain in the land; on the tops of the mountains may it wave; may its fruit be like Lebanon; and may people blossom in the cities like the grass of the field! 16 Let grain abound throughout the land; on the tops of the hills may it sway. Let its fruit flourish like Lebanon; let it thrive like the grass of the field.
May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun! May people be blessed in him, all nations call him blessed! 17 May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. All nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. 18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen! 19 Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
