Psalm 72 HNV/NIV - Online Parallel Bible

Hebrew Names Version (HNV) New International Version (NIV)
<> God, give the king your justice; Your righteousness to the royal son. 1 Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness.
He will judge your people with righteousness, And your poor with justice. 2 He will judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.
The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people; The hills bring the fruit of righteousness. 3 The mountains will bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness.
He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, And will break the oppressor in pieces. 4 He will defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; he will crush the oppressor.
They shall fear you while the sun endures; And as long as the moon, throughout all generations. 5 He will endure as long as the sun, as long as the moon, through all generations.
He will come down like rain on the mown grass, As showers that water the eretz. 6 He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.
In his days, the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of shalom, until the moon is no more. 7 In his days the righteous will flourish; prosperity will abound till the moon is no more.
He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, From the River to the ends of the eretz. 8 He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.
Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust. 9 The desert tribes will bow before him and his enemies will lick the dust.
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will bring tribute. The kings of Sheva and Seva shall offer gifts. 10 The kings of Tarshish and of distant shores will bring tribute to him; the kings of Sheba and Seba will present him gifts.
Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him. 11 All kings will bow down to him and all nations will serve him.
For he will deliver the needy when he cries; The poor, who has no helper. 12 For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help.
He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy. 13 He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.
He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight. 14 He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.
They shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheva. Men shall pray for him continually. They shall bless him all day long. 15 Long may he live! May gold from Sheba be given him. May people ever pray for him and bless him all day long.
There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Levanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field. 16 Let grain abound throughout the land; on the tops of the hills may it sway. Let its fruit flourish like Lebanon; let it thrive like the grass of the field.
His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed. 17 May his name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun. All nations will be blessed through him, and they will call him blessed.
Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Yisra'el, Who alone does marvelous deeds. 18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds.
Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole eretz be filled with his glory! Amein and amein. 19 Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.
