Psalm 119:121-144 (New International Version)

View In My Bible

121 I have done what is righteous and just;1 do not leave me to my oppressors. 122 Ensure your servant's well-being;2 let not the arrogant oppress me.3 123 My eyes fail,4 looking for your salvation,5 looking for your righteous promise.6 124 Deal with your servant according to your love7 and teach me your decrees.8 125 I am your servant;9 give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.10 126 It is time for you to act, O LORD; your law is being broken.11 127 Because I love your commands12 more than gold,13 more than pure gold,14 128 and because I consider all your precepts right,15 I hate every wrong path.16

129 Your statutes are wonderful;17 therefore I obey them.18 130 The unfolding of your words gives light;19 it gives understanding to the simple.20 131 I open my mouth and pant,21 longing for your commands.22 132 Turn to me23 and have mercy24 on me, as you always do to those who love your name.25 133 Direct my footsteps according to your word;26 let no sin rule27 over me. 134 Redeem me from the oppression of men,28 that I may obey your precepts.29 135 Make your face shine30 upon your servant and teach me your decrees.31 136 Streams of tears32 flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed.33

137 Righteous are you,34 O LORD, and your laws are right.35 138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous;36 they are fully trustworthy.37 139 My zeal wears me out,38 for my enemies ignore your words. 140 Your promises39 have been thoroughly tested,40 and your servant loves them.41 141 Though I am lowly and despised,42 I do not forget your precepts.43 142 Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true.44 143 Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands are my delight.45 144 Your statutes are forever right; give me understanding46 that I may live.
