"At that time," declares the LORD, "I will be the God1 of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people."
This is what the LORD says: "The people who survive the sword will find favor2 in the wilderness; I will come to give rest3 to Israel."
The LORD appeared to us in the past,a saying: "I have loved4 you with an everlasting love; I have drawn5 you with unfailing kindness.
I will build you up again, and you, Virgin6 Israel, will be rebuilt.7 Again you will take up your timbrels8 and go out to dance9 with the joyful.105
Again you will plant11 vineyards on the hills of Samaria;12 the farmers will plant them and enjoy their fruit.136
There will be a day when watchmen14 cry out on the hills of Ephraim, 'Come, let us go up to Zion, to the LORD our God.' "15
