But David said, "My brothers, you must not do this with what the Lord has given us. He protected us and handed over to us the raiders who came against us.

Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand.

"Families don't do this sort of thing! Oh no, my brothers!" said David as he broke up the argument. "You can't act this way with what God gave us! God kept us safe. He handed over the raiders who attacked us.

But David said, “No, my brothers! Don’t be selfish with what the LORD has given us. He has kept us safe and helped us defeat the band of raiders that attacked us.

Pero David dijo: No debéis hacer así, hermanos míos, con lo que nos ha dado el SEÑOR, quien nos ha guardado y ha entregado en nuestra mano la banda que vino contra nosotros.

Da sprach David: Ihr sollt nicht so tun, Brüder, mit dem, was uns der HERR gegeben hat, und hat uns behütet und diese Kriegsleute, die wider uns gekommen waren, in unsere Hände gegeben.

David replied, "No, my friends. You must not hold back their share of what the LORD has given us. He has kept us safe. He has handed over to us the men who attacked Ziklag.

Pero David dijo: —¡No, mis hermanos! No sean egoístas con lo que el Señor nos dio. Él nos protegió y nos ayudó a derrotar a la banda de saqueadores que nos atacó.

—No hagan eso, mis hermanos —les respondió David—. Fue el SEÑOR quien nos lo dio todo, y quien nos protegió y puso en nuestras manos a esa banda de maleantes que nos había atacado.

Davi respondeu: “Não, meus irmãos! Não façam isso com o que o SENHOR nos deu. Ele nos protegeu e entregou em nossas mãos os bandidos que vieram contra nós.
