Noah’s life and story point us to how wicked our hearts are in sin. Christ has rescued us from eternal destruction, and our choices to live by His Spirit will also result in amazing spiritual blessings. Noah was righteous, he lived many years, was obedient, his family was blessed through him, and he fully trusted in the Lord. We can look at his life as an example for our own today.

What is interesting to ponder is that we know Jesus knew this fig tree did not bear fruit (it was not even fig season). So why would he have cursed the tree? It was not out of sin, but out of making an example.

Psalm 139 is a beautiful passage full of richness in relationship with our God. It reminds us that we are completely under His care, that He has created us with purpose, that He loves us so much, and that He is always with us. Today, take some time to thank the Lord that He cares personally for you.

Who is your “Samuel” right now? What child or children has God placed in your care and how can you share the gospel in faith and leave the results up to the Lord? May we remember Samuel as we witness to the next generation.

Whoever places their faith in Jesus and His sacrifice discovers an unveiled face, freedom, and the Holy Spirit’s seal. Because we can meet with Him unhindered, we can learn from Him and live for His glory. When others see us, they will see the love of the Father.

There is a widespread joke among the church that there are words commonly referred to as “Christian-ese.” This simply means that they are phrases or words used among believers that may not be understood by everyone. It can actually be very confusing for a person who did not grow up in the church, or someone who is new to the Bible, to hear lingo like this among a group of people. It can almost be like another language. (Hence Christian-ese) Today we are going to break down some Christian words and their significance.

Peter’s escape was done with confidence because of his trust in God, the power of people praying and the help of an angel. His story reminds us of the freedom that we too can experience in Jesus through all things.

If we are not careful, we can easily put Paul and other disciples of Jesus on a pedestal in the Bible. However, he was a regular man who heard the call of Jesus and chose to follow. He still had to make a living, he still needed money to buy food to eat, he still needed a place to sleep.

I love the concept of completion in Christ. Complete signifies that I was missing something to be whole. Whether single or married, our completion is not based on another person, it is only based on Jesus. We can never live whole until we are wholly His.

We were all slaves to sin before Jesus came to take away our sin and purchase our freedom through His death. No matter what we have been enslaved to in our lives, Jesus offers freedom; Jesus is our ultimate jubilee. Instead of just offering us freedom once every 50 years, Christ gave us eternal freedom through His death and resurrection.

What’s in your hand? What has God given you? Is it a paint brush? A confident voice? Great strength? Amazing patience? Whatever the Lord has entrusted to you, give it back to Him. He is your Creator and you are His creation who is modeling and pointing the world to His existence and His sacrifice for all sins.

The Lord uses the sound of the trumpet as a call to war and the announcement of victory. As believers in Christ, we have been called to the battleground of faith against the present powers of darkness. However, a trumpet is going to sound one day when Jesus will return and we will be done with this war, and our God will claim the victory.

In Mark 2, we find that Jesus was questioned about fasting. He answers in a seemingly unusual way by describing examples. What does new wine in old wineskins mean? Today we are going to uncover this biblical truth.

Do not leave a church immediately but proceed with caution as you see if the church gets back on track, or if not, then begin to search elsewhere. In order for us to be healthy and growing believers, we need to find churches that are healthy too.
