The Beautiful Truth of a Redeemed Life

#redeemed

Redemption life is living with a new perspective. In and through Christ, we are able to see people the way God does, and able to interpret and understand Scripture through the powerful aid of the Holy Spirit working in us. The NIV Study Bible explains, “Redemption is the restoration and fulfillment of God’s purposes in creation, and this takes place in Christ, through whom all things were made and in whom all things are restored or created anew.”

To be redeemed is to live life in surrender to the Lord. We come to Him, broken by sin and unable to break its hold upon us. He meets us in our plight, and pulls us out in the grandest rescue effort of all time. There is a level of obedience required when we live redeemed in Jesus Christ, but the work we accomplish is driven by the work of the Holy Spirit alive and active in us, and our obedience to His work in our lives. Day by day we are changing, becoming more like Christ. “Paul’s conversion experience gave him a new perspective on Christians and Christ. Gone were the days when Paul appraised them according to the flesh, from a human perspective,” The Moody Bible Commentary explains. “When people become Christians, they are in Christ and view everything from a new perspective.”
