34 Que allí el sacerdote Sadoc y el profeta Natán lo unjan como rey sobre Israel; y tocad trompeta y decid: "¡Viva el rey Salomón!"

1 Kings 1:34

And let Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, anoint him
there king over Israel
For it might be done by either of them, as the unctions of Saul and David show:

and blow ye the trumpet, and say, God save King Solomon;
the blowing of the trumpet was to make it public; the proclamation of him as king was to be made by the sound of it, and the acclamation of the people was to express their concurrence with it, their loyal affection to the new king, and their hearty wishes for his health, prosperity, and long life.

32 Entonces el rey David dijo: Llamadme al sacerdote Sadoc, al profeta Natán y a Benaía, hijo de Joiada. Ellos entraron a la presencia del rey,
33 y el rey les dijo: Tomad con vosotros los siervos de vuestro señor, haced montar a mi hijo Salomón en mi propia mula y bajadle a Gihón.
34 Que allí el sacerdote Sadoc y el profeta Natán lo unjan como rey sobre Israel; y tocad trompeta y decid: "¡Viva el rey Salomón!"
35 Después subiréis tras él, y él vendrá, se sentará en mi trono y reinará en mi lugar; porque le he escogido para que sea príncipe sobre Israel y sobre Judá.
36 Y Benaía, hijo de Joiada, respondió al rey y dijo: ¡Amén! Así lo diga también el SEÑOR, el Dios de mi señor el rey.
