1 Samuel 23:21

And Saul said, blessed [be] ye of the Lord
He highly commends them for the offer they made to him, blesses God for them, and desires the blessing of God upon them for it:

for ye have compassion on me;
pitied him on account of the troubles he met with from his son-in-law, were sorry for him, and sympathized with him, which others did not, of which he complained, ( 1 Samuel 22:8 ) .

19 Entonces subieron los de Zif a Saúl en Guibeá diciendo: ¿No está David escondido entre nosotros en los refugios en Hores, en la colina de Haquila que está al sur de Jesimón
20 Ahora bien, oh rey, desciende conforme a todo el deseo de tu alma para hacerlo; y nuestra parte será entregarlo en manos del rey.
21 Y Saúl dijo: Benditos seáis del SEÑOR, porque os compadecisteis de mí
22 Id ahora, aseguraos, investigad y ved dónde está su escondite, y quién le ha visto allí, porque me han dicho que es muy astuto.
23 Mirad entonces, reconoced todos los escondites donde se oculta, regresad a mí cuando estéis seguros, y yo iré con vosotros; y sucederá que si estuviera en la tierra, he de hallarle entre todos los miles de Judá.
