Listen to 1 Samuel 5:1-5
1 Los filisteos tomaron el arca de Dios y la llevaron de Eben-ezer a Asdod.
2 Entonces tomaron los filisteos el arca de Dios y la introdujeron en el templo de Dag贸n, y la pusieron junto a Dag贸n.
3 A la ma帽ana siguiente, cuando los de Asdod se levantaron temprano, he aqu铆 que Dag贸n hab铆a ca铆do rostro en tierra delante del arca del SE脩OR. Y tomaron a Dag贸n y lo pusieron otra vez en su lugar.
4 Pero al levantarse temprano al d铆a siguiente, he aqu铆 que Dag贸n hab铆a ca铆do rostro en tierra delante del arca del SE脩OR. Y la cabeza de Dag贸n y las dos palmas de sus manos estaban cortadas sobre el umbral; s贸lo el tronco le quedaba a Dag贸n.
5 Por tanto, hasta hoy, ni los sacerdotes de Dag贸n ni ninguno de los que entran en el templo de Dag贸n, pisan el umbral de Dag贸n en Asdod.

INTRODUCTION TO FIRST SAMUEL 5

This chapter relates how that the ark being brought by the Philistines to Ashdod, and placed in the temple of their idol, that fell down before it, 1Sa 5:1-5, that the hand of the Lord was upon the men of Ashdod, and smote them with emerods, 1Sa 5:6,7 and being carried to Gath, the men of Gath were smitten likewise with the same, 1Sa 5:8,9, and after that the men of Ekron, whither it also was carried, 1Sa 5:10-12.
