12 Iremos a él en cualquiera de los lugares donde se encuentre, y descenderemos sobre él como cae el rocío sobre la tierra; y de él y de todos los hombres que están con él no quedará ni uno.

2 Samuel 17:12

So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be
found
For such a numerous army, which would be spread abroad, could not well fail of finding him out, let him be in what lurking place he would; whereas he might lie concealed, and escape so small a number as twelve thousand men:

and we will light upon him as the dew falleth upon the ground;
whose drops are innumerable, and cover all the ground where they fall; and the phrase not only expresses their numbers, but the irresistible force they should come with, and the manner, secretly, unawares, opportunely; the Romans had a sort of soldiers, called from the dew "rorarii", who carried light armour, and fought first in the battle, from whence they had their name, because dew falls before it rains ^F14:

and of him, and of all the men that [are] with him, there shall not be
left so much as one;
so that for the future Absalom would sit easy upon the throne, there being none left to molest him.

10 Y aun el valiente, cuyo corazón es como el corazón de un león, se desanimará completamente, pues todo Israel sabe que tu padre es un hombre poderoso y que todos los que están con él son valientes.

11 Pero yo aconsejo que todo Israel se reúna contigo, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, abundantes como la arena que está a la orilla del mar, y que tú personalmente vayas al combate.

12 Iremos a él en cualquiera de los lugares donde se encuentre, y descenderemos sobre él como cae el rocío sobre la tierra; y de él y de todos los hombres que están con él no quedará ni uno.

13 Si se refugia en una ciudad, todo Israel traerá sogas a aquella ciudad y la arrastraremos al valle hasta que no se encuentre en ella ni una piedra pequeña.

14 Absalón y todos los hombres de Israel dijeron: El consejo de Husai arquita es mejor que el consejo de Ahitofel. Pues el SEÑOR había ordenado que se frustrara el buen consejo de Ahitofel para que el SEÑOR trajera calamidad sobre Absalón.
