Amos 3:13

Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob
The prophets and priests, whose business it was to speak to the people from the Lord, and declare his will to them, and to admonish them of their sin and danger, are here called upon to hearken to what the Lord was about to say, and to testify and publish it to the people of Israel, the posterity of Jacob, though sadly degenerated: saith the Lord God, the God of hosts;
the eternal Jehovah, the Being of beings, the God of the whole earth, the God of the armies above and below; and, being so great, ought to be heard with the greatest attention and reverence in what follows.

11 Por tanto, así dice el Señor DIOS: Un enemigo, rodeando la tierra, echará abajo tu poder y tus palacios serán saqueados.

12 Así dice el SEÑOR: Como el pastor rescata de la boca del león dos patas o un pedazo de oreja, así serán rescatados los hijos de Israel que se sientan en Samaria, en la esquina de una cama y en el damasco de un sofá.

13 Oíd y testificad contra la casa de Jacob declara el Señor DIOS, el Dios de los ejércitos.

14 Porque el día que yo castigue las transgresiones de Israel, castigaré también los altares de Betel; los cuernos del altar serán cortados y caerán a tierra.

15 Derribaré también la casa de invierno junto con la casa de verano; también perecerán las casas de marfil, y muchas casas serán destruidas declara el SEÑOR.
