Genesis 38:20

And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the
Adullamite
Who went with him to Timnath, and was privy to all this wickedness, and kept the secret; but would have acted the more friendly and faithful part had he dissuaded him from it: him he employed to carry the kid he had promised, and not any of his servants, for the greater secrecy: and to receive [his] pledge from the woman's hand;
his signet, bracelets, and staff, or whatever they were: but he found her not;
she was gone from the place where she sat, or where she retired to with Judah.

18 他 說 ： 我 給 你 甚 麼 當 頭 呢 ？ 他 瑪 說 ： 你 的 印 、 你 的 帶 子 ， 和 你 手 裡 的 杖 。 猶 大 就 給 了 他 ， 與 他 同 寢 ， 他 就 從 猶 大 懷 了 孕 。

19 他 瑪 起 來 走 了 ， 除 去 帕 子 ， 仍 舊 穿 上 作 寡 婦 的 衣 裳 。

21 就 問 那 地 方 的 人 說 ： 伊 拿 印 路 旁 的 妓 女 在 那 裡 ？ 他 們 說 ： 這 裡 並 沒 有 妓 女 。

22 他 回 去 見 猶 大 說 ： 我 沒 有 找 著 他 ， 並 且 那 地 方 的 人 說 ： 這 裡 沒 有 妓 女 。
