歷代志下 29:5

5 對 他 們 說 ： 利 未 人 哪 ， 當 聽 我 說 ： 現 在 你 們 要 潔 淨 自 己 ， 又 潔 淨 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 列 祖 　 神 的 殿 ， 從 聖 所 中 除 去 污 穢 之 物 。

2 Chronicles 29:5

And said unto them, hear me, ye Levites; sanctify yourselves,
&c.] By washing their bodies and their garments, that no pollution might attend them in their service, see ( Isaiah 52:11 )

and sanctify the house of the Lord God of your fathers;
by carrying out of it all manner of uncleanness, as they did, ( 2 Chronicles 29:16 ) ,

and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place;
or the abomination; the altar, like that at Damascus, which Ahaz, removing the altar of the Lord, had placed in the court of the priests; or, as Kimchi thinks, an idol, which he had set upon that altar.

3 元 年 正 月 ， 開 了 耶 和 華 殿 的 門 ， 重 新 修 理 。

4 他 召 眾 祭 司 和 利 未 人 來 ， 聚 集 在 東 邊 的 寬 闊 處 ，

5 對 他 們 說 ： 利 未 人 哪 ， 當 聽 我 說 ： 現 在 你 們 要 潔 淨 自 己 ， 又 潔 淨 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 列 祖 　 神 的 殿 ， 從 聖 所 中 除 去 污 穢 之 物 。

6 我 們 列 祖 犯 了 罪 ， 行 耶 和 華 ─ 我 們 　 神 眼 中 看 為 惡 的 事 ， 離 棄 他 ， 轉 臉 背 向 他 的 居 所 ，

7 封 鎖 廊 門 ， 吹 滅 燈 火 ， 不 在 聖 所 中 向 以 色 列 　 神 燒 香 ， 或 獻 燔 祭 。
