14 亞 捫 人 見 亞 蘭 人 逃 跑 ， 他 們 也 在 亞 比 篩 面 前 逃 跑 進 城 。 約 押 就 離 開 亞 捫 人 那 裡 ， 回 耶 路 撒 冷 去 了 。

2 Samuel 10:14

And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians were
fled
In whom they put great confidence:

then they fled also before Abishai;
without engaging at all with him, as it seems:

and entered into the city;
out of which they came, either Rabbah or Medeba, for their safety:

so Joab returned from the children of Ammon;
did not stay to lay siege to their city, the season of the year not being proper for it, winter drawing near; see ( 2 Samuel 11:1 ) ;

and came to Jerusalem;
in triumph, to report to David the victory he had obtained.

12 我 們 都 當 剛 強 ， 為 本 國 的 民 和 　 神 的 城 邑 作 大 丈 夫 。 願 耶 和 華 憑 他 的 意 旨 而 行 ！

13 於 是 ， 約 押 和 跟 隨 他 的 人 前 進 攻 打 亞 蘭 人 ； 亞 蘭 人 在 約 押 面 前 逃 跑 。

15 亞 蘭 人 見 自 己 被 以 色 列 人 打 敗 ， 就 又 聚 集 。

16 哈 大 底 謝 差 遣 人 ， 將 大 河 那 邊 的 亞 蘭 人 調 來 ； 他 們 到 了 希 蘭 ， 哈 大 底 謝 的 將 軍 朔 法 率 領 他 們 。
