2 Samuel 11:23

And the messenger said unto David
The particulars of his account follow:

surely the men prevailed against us;
the men of the city of Rabbah, the besieged there, in one onset they made upon them:

and came out unto us in the field;
the besiegers that lay encamped there; they sallied out upon them:

and we were upon them, even unto the entering of the gate;
rallied upon them, and drove them back, and pursued them to the gate of the city.

21 從 前 打 死 耶 路 比 設 （ 就 是 耶 路 巴 力 ， 見 士 師 記 九 章 一 節 ） 兒 子 亞 比 米 勒 的 是 誰 呢 ？ 豈 不 是 一 個 婦 人 從 城 上 拋 下 一 塊 上 磨 石 來 ， 打 在 他 身 上 ， 他 就 死 在 提 備 斯 麼 ？ 你 們 為 甚 麼 挨 近 城 牆 呢 ？ 你 就 說 ： 王 的 僕 人 ─ 赫 人 烏 利 亞 也 死 了 。

23 使 者 對 大 衛 說 ： 敵 人 強 過 我 們 ， 出 到 郊 野 與 我 們 打 仗 ， 我 們 追 殺 他 們 ， 直 到 城 門 口 。

24 射 箭 的 從 城 上 射 王 的 僕 人 ， 射 死 幾 個 ， 赫 人 烏 利 亞 也 死 了 。

25 王 向 使 者 說 ： 你 告 訴 約 押 說 ： 不 要 因 這 事 愁 悶 ， 刀 劍 或 吞 滅 這 人 或 吞 滅 那 人 ， 沒 有 一 定 的 ； 你 只 管 竭 力 攻 城 ， 將 城 傾 覆 。 可 以 用 這 話 勉 勵 約 押 。
