31 古 示 人 也 來 到 ， 說 ： 有 信 息 報 給 我 主 我 王 ！ 耶 和 華 今 日 向 一 切 興 起 攻 擊 你 的 人 給 你 報 仇 了 。

And, behold, Cushi came
A little after:

and Cushi said, tidings, my lord the king;
news is sent and brought by me, and good news it is:

for the Lord hath avenged thee this day of all them that rose up
against thee;
they are either killed or dispersed; there is an entire victory over them, and deliverance from them.

29 王 問 說 ： 少 年 人 押 沙 龍 平 安 不 平 安 ？ 亞 希 瑪 斯 回 答 說 ： 約 押 打 發 王 的 僕 人 ， 那 時 僕 人 聽 見 眾 民 大 聲 喧 嘩 ， 卻 不 知 道 是 甚 麼 事 。

30 王 說 ： 你 退 去 ， 站 在 旁 邊 。 他 就 退 去 ， 站 在 旁 邊 。

31 古 示 人 也 來 到 ， 說 ： 有 信 息 報 給 我 主 我 王 ！ 耶 和 華 今 日 向 一 切 興 起 攻 擊 你 的 人 給 你 報 仇 了 。

32 王 問 古 示 人 說 ： 少 年 人 押 沙 龍 平 安 不 平 安 ？ 古 示 人 回 答 說 ： 願 我 主 我 王 的 仇 敵 ， 和 一 切 興 起 要 殺 害 你 的 人 ， 都 與 那 少 年 人 一 樣 。

33 王 就 心 裡 傷 慟 ， 上 城 門 樓 去 哀 哭 ， 一 面 走 一 面 說 ： 我 兒 押 沙 龍 啊 ！ 我 兒 ， 我 兒 押 沙 龍 啊 ！ 我 恨 不 得 替 你 死 ， 押 沙 龍 啊 ， 我 兒 ！ 我 兒 ！
