耶利米書 5:14

14 所 以 耶 和 華 ─ 萬 軍 之 　 神 如 此 說 ： 因 為 百 姓 說 這 話 ， 我 必 使 我 的 話 在 你 口 中 為 火 ， 使 他 們 為 柴 ； 這 火 便 將 他 們 燒 滅 。

Jeremiah 5:14

Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, because ye speak
this word
That it is not the Lord; it is not he that speaks; it is no prophecy of him, and therefore shall become wind, and come to nothing: behold, I will make my word in thy mouth fire:
it shall have its effect, and a dreadful one; it shall not become wind, but be as fire, not to enlighten the understanding, to purify the conscience, and warm the heart; but to torture, distress, and destroy, as the fire of the word out of the mouths of the two witnesses, ( Revelation 11:5 ) : and this people wood, and it shall devour them;
as wood is devoured by fire, so shall this people be destroyed by sword and famine, as the word of the prophecy has declared they should; and which was done by the following means.

12 他 們 不 認 耶 和 華 ， 說 ： 這 並 不 是 他 ， 災 禍 必 不 臨 到 我 們 ； 刀 劍 和 饑 荒 ， 我 們 也 看 不 見 。

13 先 知 的 話 必 成 為 風 ； 道 也 不 在 他 們 裡 面 。 這 災 必 臨 到 他 們 身 上 。

14 所 以 耶 和 華 ─ 萬 軍 之 　 神 如 此 說 ： 因 為 百 姓 說 這 話 ， 我 必 使 我 的 話 在 你 口 中 為 火 ， 使 他 們 為 柴 ； 這 火 便 將 他 們 燒 滅 。

15 耶 和 華 說 ： 以 色 列 家 啊 ， 我 必 使 一 國 的 民 從 遠 方 來 攻 擊 你 ， 是 強 盛 的 國 ， 是 從 古 而 有 的 國 。 他 們 的 言 語 你 不 曉 得 ， 他 們 的 話 你 不 明 白 。

16 他 們 的 箭 袋 是 敞 開 的 墳 墓 ； 他 們 都 是 勇 士 。
