21 愚 昧 無 知 的 百 姓 啊 ， 你 們 有 眼 不 看 ， 有 耳 不 聽 ， 現 在 當 聽 這 話 。

Jeremiah 5:21

Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding,
&c.] or, "heart" ^F1; (See Gill on Jeremiah 4:22): which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not;
like the idols they served, ( Psalms 115:4-8 ) . this is an upbraiding of them with their folly and stupidity, their want of common sense, their blindness and ignorance; notwithstanding they had the means of light and knowledge, the law, and the prophets.

19 百 姓 若 說 ： 耶 和 華 ─ 我 們 的 　 神 為 甚 麼 向 我 們 行 這 一 切 事 呢 ？ 你 就 對 他 們 說 ： 你 們 怎 樣 離 棄 耶 和 華 （ 原 文 是 我 ） ， 在 你 們 的 地 上 事 奉 外 邦 　 神 ， 也 必 照 樣 在 不 屬 你 們 的 地 上 事 奉 外 邦 人 。

20 當 傳 揚 在 雅 各 家 ， 報 告 在 猶 大 說 ：

21 愚 昧 無 知 的 百 姓 啊 ， 你 們 有 眼 不 看 ， 有 耳 不 聽 ， 現 在 當 聽 這 話 。

22 耶 和 華 說 ： 你 們 怎 麼 不 懼 怕 我 呢 ？ 我 以 永 遠 的 定 例 ， 用 沙 為 海 的 界 限 ， 水 不 得 越 過 。 因 此 ， 你 們 在 我 面 前 還 不 戰 兢 麼 ？ 波 浪 雖 然 翻 騰 ， 卻 不 能 逾 越 ； 雖 然 匉 訇 ， 卻 不 能 過 去 。

23 但 這 百 姓 有 背 叛 忤 逆 的 心 ； 他 們 叛 我 而 去 ，
