4 凡 聽 見 角 聲 不 受 警 戒 的 ， 刀 劍 若 來 除 滅 了 他 ， 他 的 罪 （ 原 文 是 血 ） 就 必 歸 到 自 己 的 頭 上 。

Ezekiel 33:4

Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh no
warning
Does not mind the notice given him; is incredulous of the danger he is in, or negligent of providing for his safety; fancies it is an alarm, and nothing else; and imagines there is no real danger, or what is a mere trifle; or, that the enemy is at a great distance, and it is time enough to provide for his defence: if the sword come and take him away;
those that kill with the sword, as the Targum, come suddenly on him, and take away his life, or carry him captive: his blood shall be upon his own head; the guilt of his slaughter, as the Targum; the sin will be his own; it must be brought in wilful murder; no blame can be laid upon any but himself; the watchman will be clear.

2 人 子 啊 ， 你 要 告 訴 本 國 的 子 民 說 ： 我 使 刀 劍 臨 到 哪 一 國 ， 那 一 國 的 民 從 他 們 中 間 選 立 一 人 為 守 望 的 。

3 他 見 刀 劍 臨 到 那 地 ， 若 吹 角 警 戒 眾 民 ，

4 凡 聽 見 角 聲 不 受 警 戒 的 ， 刀 劍 若 來 除 滅 了 他 ， 他 的 罪 （ 原 文 是 血 ） 就 必 歸 到 自 己 的 頭 上 。

5 他 聽 見 角 聲 ， 不 受 警 戒 ， 他 的 罪 必 歸 到 自 己 的 身 上 ； 他 若 受 警 戒 ， 便 是 救 了 自 己 的 性 命 。

6 倘 若 守 望 的 人 見 刀 劍 臨 到 ， 不 吹 角 ， 以 致 民 不 受 警 戒 ， 刀 劍 來 殺 了 他 們 中 間 的 一 個 人 ， 他 雖 然 死 在 罪 孽 之 中 ， 我 卻 要 向 守 望 的 人 討 他 喪 命 的 罪 （ 原 文 是 血 ） 。
