Ezra 8:24

Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests
That were in company with him; so that it seems there were more than the two mentioned, ( Ezra 8:2 ) , very probably their families, or some of their brethren, were with them:

Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them;
these men named were Levites, and not priests, ( Ezra 8:18 Ezra 8:19 ) and therefore the copulative "and" must be supplied:

and Sherebiah
or with the twelve priests, Sherebiah, &c. and ten Levites more with them; so that the number of priests and Levites were equal, and in all twenty four.

22 我 求 王 撥 步 兵 馬 兵 幫 助 我 們 抵 擋 路 上 的 仇 敵 ， 本 以 為 羞 恥 ； 因 我 曾 對 王 說 ： 「 我 們 　 神 施 恩 的 手 必 幫 助 一 切 尋 求 他 的 ； 但 他 的 能 力 和 忿 怒 必 攻 擊 一 切 離 棄 他 的 。 」

23 所 以 我 們 禁 食 祈 求 我 們 的 　 神 ， 他 就 應 允 了 我 們 。

24 我 分 派 祭 司 長 十 二 人 ， 就 是 示 利 比 、 哈 沙 比 雅 ， 和 他 們 的 弟 兄 十 人 ，

25 將 王 和 謀 士 、 軍 長 ， 並 在 那 裡 的 以 色 列 眾 人 為 我 們 　 神 殿 所 獻 的 金 銀 和 器 皿 ， 都 秤 了 交 給 他 們 。

26 我 秤 了 交 在 他 們 手 中 的 銀 子 有 六 百 五 十 他 連 得 ； 銀 器 重 一 百 他 連 得 ； 金 子 一 百 他 連 得 ；
