33 這 人 若 不 是 從 神 來 的 ， 甚 麼 也 不 能 做 。

John 9:33

If this man were not of God
If he had not his mission, commission, and credentials from God; if he had not been sent by him, and had not authority from him, and was not assisted by him, as man, or God was not with him,

he could do nothing;
or "not do these things", as the Syriac version reads; that is, such miraculous works; or, as the Persic version, "he could not do this miracle": open the eyes of a man born blind. His doing this is a full proof that he is of God, and comes from him.

31 我 們 知 道 神 不 聽 罪 人 ， 惟 有 敬 奉 神 、 遵 行 他 旨 意 的 ， 神 才 聽 他 。

32 從 創 世 以 來 ， 未 曾 聽 見 有 人 把 生 來 是 瞎 子 的 眼 睛 開 了 。

33 這 人 若 不 是 從 神 來 的 ， 甚 麼 也 不 能 做 。

34 他 們 回 答 說 ： 你 全 然 生 在 罪 孽 中 ， 還 要 教 訓 我 們 麼 ？ 於 是 把 他 趕 出 去 了 。

35 耶 穌 聽 說 他 們 把 他 趕 出 去 ， 後 來 遇 見 他 ， 就 說 ： 你 信 神 的 兒 子 麼 ？
