Lìdaìzhìxià 31

1 Zhè shì jì dōu wánbì , zaì nàli de Yǐsèliè zhòngrén jiù dào Yóudà de chéngyì , dá suì zhù xiàng , kǎn duàn mùǒu , yòu zaì Yóudà , Biànyǎmǐn , Yǐfǎlián , Mǎnáxī biàn dì jiāng qiū tán hé jìtán chāihuǐ jìng jǐn . yúshì Yǐsèliè zhòngrén gè huí gè chéng , gè guī gè dì .

2 Xīxījiā paì déng jìsī Lìwèi rén de bāncì , gè àn gè zhí xiàn Fánjì hépíng ān jì , yòu zaì Yēhéhuá diàn ( yuánwén zuò yíng ) mén neì shìfèng , chēngxiè sòngzàn Yēhéhuá .

3 Wáng yòu cóng zìjǐ de chǎnyè zhōng déng chū fēn lái wèi Fánjì , jiù shì zǎo wǎn de Fánjì hé ānxīrì , yuè shuò , bìng jiéqī de Fánjì , dōu shì àn Yēhéhuá lǜfǎ shàng suǒ zǎi de .

4 Yòu fēnfu zhù Yēlùsǎlĕng de bǎixìng jiāng jìsī , Lìwèi rén suǒ yīngdé de fēn gĕi tāmen , shǐ tāmen zhuān xīn zūnshǒu Yēhéhuá de lǜfǎ .

5 Yù zhǐ yī chū , Yǐsèliè rén jiù bǎ chū shóu de wǔgǔ , xīn jiǔ , yóu , mì , hé tiándì de chūchǎn duō duō sòng lái , yòu bǎ gè wù de shí fēn zhīyī sòng lái de jí duō .

6 Zhù Yóudà gè chéng de Yǐsèliè rén hé Yóudà rén yĕ jiāng1 niú yáng de shí fēn zhīyī , bìng fēnbié wèi shèng guī Yēhéhuá tāmen shén zhī wù , jiù shì shí fēn qǔ yī zhī wù , jǐn dōu sòng lái , jī chéng duī lĕi .

7 Cóng sān yuè jī qǐ , dào qī yuè cái wán .

8 Xīxījiā hé zhòng shǒulǐng lái , kànjian duī lĕi , jiù chēngsòng Yēhéhuá , yòu wèi Yēhéhuá de mín Yǐsèliè rén zhùfú .

9 Xīxījiā xiàng jìsī , Lìwèi rén cháwèn zhè duī lĕi .

10 Sādū jiā de Dàjìsī Yàsālìyǎ huídá shuō , zì cóng mín jiāng gōngwù sòng dào Yēhéhuá diàn yǐlái , wǒmen búdàn chī bǎo , qiĕ shèngxia de shén duō . yīnwei Yēhéhuá cì fú gĕi tāde mín , suǒ shèngxia de cái zhèyàng fēngshèng .

11 Xīxījiā fēnfu zaì Yēhéhuá diàn lǐ yùbeì cāng fáng , tāmen jiù yùbeì le .

12 Tāmen chéng xīn jiāng gōngwù hé shí fēn qǔ yī zhī wù , bìng fēnbié wèi shèng zhī wù , dōu bān rù cāng neì . Lìwèi rén gē nán yǎ zhǎng guǎn zhè shì , tā xiōngdi Shìmĕi wèi fù guǎn .

13 Yé xiē , Yàsā xì yǎ , Náha , Yàsāhēi , Yélìmò , Yuēsǎbá , yǐ liè , yī sī Mǎjīyǎ , mǎ hā , Bǐnáyǎ dōu shì dū lǐ , zaì gē nán yǎ hé tā xiōngdi Shìmĕi de shǒu xià , shì Xīxījiā wáng hé guǎnlǐ shén diàn de Yàsālìyǎ suǒ paì de .

14 Shǒu dōng mén de Lìwèi rén Yīnná de érzi kĕ lì , zhǎng guǎn lèyì xiàn yǔ shén de lǐwù , fā fàng xiàn yǔ Yēhéhuá de gōngwù hé zhì shèng de wù .

15 Zaì tā shǒu xià yǒu Yīdiàn , mǐn yǎ mǐn , Yéshūyà , Shìmǎyǎ , Yàmǎlìyǎ , Shìjiāní yǎ , zaì jìsī de gè chéng lǐ gōng jǐnyào de zhírèn , wúlùn dìxiōng dà xiǎo , dōu àn zhe bāncì fēn gĕi tāmen .

16 Àn jiāpǔ , sān suì yǐwaì de nán dīng , fán mĕi rì jìn Yēhéhuá diàn , àn bāncì gòngzhí de , yĕ fēn gĕi tā .

17 Yòu àn zōngzú jiāpǔ fēn gĕi jìsī , àn bāncì zhírèn fēn gĕi èr shí suì yǐwaì de Lìwèi rén ,

18 Yòu àn jiāpǔ jìsuàn , fēn gĕi tāmen huì zhōng de qīzi , érnǚ . yīn tāmen shēn gōng yào zhí , zì jié chéng shèng .

19 Àn míng paì déng de rén yào bǎ yīngdé de fēn gĕi Yàlún zǐsūn , zhù zaì gè chéng jiāo yĕ , jìsī suǒyǒude nán dīng hé yīqiè zǎi rù jiāpǔ de Lìwèi rén .

20 Xīxījiā zaì Yóudà biàn dé zhèyàng bànlǐ , xíng Yēhéhuá tā shén yǎn zhōng kàn wéi shàn wèi zhēng wéi zhōng de shì .

21 Fán tā suǒ xíng de , wúlùn shì bàn shén diàn de shì , shì zūn lǜfǎ shǒu jièmìng , shì xúnqiú tāde shén , dōu shì jìnxīn qù xíng , wú bù hēng tōng .

Lìdaìzhìxià 31 Commentary

Chapter 31

Hezekiah destroys idolatry.

- After the passover, the people of Israel applied with vigour to destroy the monuments of idolatry. Public ordinances should stir us up to cleanse our hearts, our houses, and shops, from the filth of sin, and the idolatry of covetousness, and to excite others to do the same. The after-improvement of solemn ordinances, is of the greatest importance to personal, family, and public religion. When they had tasted the sweetness of God's ordinance in the late passover, they were free in maintaining the temple service. Those who enjoy the benefit of a settled ministry, will not grudge the expense of it. In all that Hezekiah attempted in God's service, he was earnest and single in his aim and dependence, and was prospered accordingly. Whether we have few or many talents intrusted to us, may we thus seek to improve them, and encourage others to do the same. What is undertaken with a sincere regard to the glory of God, will succeed to our own honour and comfort at last.

INTRODUCTION TO 2 CHRONICLES 31

This chapter begins with the destruction of idolatrous worship, the appointment of the courses of the priests and Levites, and the royal bounty for sacrifices, 2Ch 31:1-3, next follows the order Hezekiah gave, that the people at Jerusalem, and throughout the land, should make the proper provision for the priests and Levites, as the law directed; and which was cheerfully complied with, and the firstfruits and tithes were brought in, in great abundance, insomuch that there was enough, and plenty left, 2Ch 31:4-10, wherefore chambers were prepared in the temple to lay it up in, and persons appointed to be the overseers of it, and to distribute it faithfully to their brethren and their families, to small and great, 2Ch 31:11-19, and the chapter is closed in praise of the works of Hezekiah, and the success that attended him, 2Ch 31:20,21.
